Competitions are a large part of club life and individual camera clubs run numerous internal competitions as part and parcel of their activities.

In addition, the NCPF hold two regional competitions:

• The NCPF Club Championship
  A competition between NCPF affiliated camera clubs held each year in February.
  
• The NCPF Annual Competition
  A competition for individual camera club members within the NCPF (although clubs do pick up awards as well) held each year in April.
  

From these two competitions, the NCPF selects images to represent the Federation at national level in competitions held by the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain.

Entry into both competitions are conducted through each camera club’s designated Officer and not by individuals themselves.
