About

The Northern Counties Photographic Federation (NCPF) is one of fifteen regional federations which make up the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB), a member organisation which co-ordinates activities for photographic clubs in the UK.

The PAGB is, in turn, affiliated to the Federation Internationale de l’Art Photgraphique (FIAP) a world wide organisation of volunteer bodies which provide support and structure to amateur photographers all around the globe. FIAP has over 2 million individual members.

As detailed in its Constitution, the NCPF describes its main objective as being:

“The Advancement of Photography”

The Federation is divided into six geographical Areas, each of which can organise functions on a more local level, and within each Area are individual camera clubs and their members. We serve around 50 clubs across the North of England covering the counties of Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, Durham, Cleveland and the northern part of Cumbria. A number of clubs from North Yorkshire and the Scottish Borders are also members, as are some national organisations.
