Alan McCormick passed away on Tuesday 24^th February 2026.

Alan really enjoyed his photography from the moment he joined Hexham and District Photographic Society where he remained a member until he and Mavis move to Amble in 2020. They joined Amble Photographic Group where he looked forward to his Friday morning meetings and continued to enjoy his photography.

During his time as a member of Hexham CC he held the position of Chairman and a very proud moment for Alan was being presented with his ARPS for his panel of Images of Beamish Museum.

Alan became Vice President of the Northern Counties Photographic Federation in 2014. He held this position until he became President in 2016. A term he held for 2 years.

A memorial celebration was held on Sunday 15^th March 2026 at The Red Lion, Alnmouth. A toast by friends and family was made to commemorate the great achievements Alan had made along the way through his journey of life.
