North Tyne Area Print Competition 2024

On 26th November Gosforth CC hosted the North Tyne Area Interclub print competition in their room above The Duke of Wellington Pub on Kenton Lane.   The room was packed, helped by Whitley Bay PS having 20 members present.

The judge, David Ord, gave a really good critique of each of the 48 prints – each of the six clubs having submitted eight.

The result was pretty tight but Tynemouth PS ran out winners with a total of 216 points, just ahead of Gosforth with 214.

A print from Gosforth was the top marked of the night. You might have seen it before, ‘Velvet Touch’ by Lesley Hughes.

At the end of the evening Gosforth provided an exceptional buffet, with plenty for all, complete with chips!
