The West Cumbria Photo Group held their last meeting on Thursday 21st March 2024, which was marked with a buffet lunch. The group was mainly made up of members from all the NCPF Western Area clubs.

As some of you may know, the WCPG was run by Tony Potter APSA, GMPSA, EFIAP/plat, ARPS, APAGB, DPAGB who was Founder and Chairman from the day it started many years ago. However, Tony now feels the time has come to call it a day. For personal reasons he is finding it harder to run the group, which has always been known as a print group specialising in international print competitions.

In addition, the very small core that supported and helped him (and thank you to all of them) are not available to take over the running of the group due to other commitments.

So I would like to say “thank you Tony” for all you have done for photography and all the work and support you have given to the PSA, RPS, PAGB and the NCPF.

Just one last note: Tony now has a new friend in the way of a rescue dog, a Newfoundland who is 5 years old, which he says is the best thing that has happened to him in years.
