The NCPF Competitions sub-committee have been advised of a grey area within this year’s Annuals Competition rules distributed to all NCPF Clubs as part of an invitation to enter.

The issue is in regard to Paragraph 2 Eligibility which states:

• Images which have previously won an NCPF Annuals award or certificate for 1^st 2^nd 3^rd or HC or have been chosen for portfolio, are ineligible for re-entry into any further NCPF Annual Competition in any category.

The NCPF have received the following query in respect to Eligibility:

• “Whether Alliance Selections are eligible for resubmission in subsequent Annuals competitions”.

The answer to the query is as follows:  

• Images selected to represent the NCPF in Alliance competitions are not eligible for resubmission in subsequent Annuals competitions.

Confirmation – Please read the amended rule as:

• Images which have won an NCPF Annuals award of HC, 3rd, 2nd or 1st placed or have been chosen for Alliance or Portfolio selections are ineligible for re-entry into any further Annual Competitions. 

By way of background:

NCPF Competitions team are keen to encourage new work in the Annuals, intention is that any image that has previously received an award or certificate in the Annuals would be ineligible for resubmission.  Many thanks to the observant NCPF member for highlighting the omission regards Alliance Selections.
