It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Keith Hildreth DPAGB, who passed away on 27th July 2023. His funeral will be held on Thursday 24th August at 10.15am in the West Road Crematorium, Newcastle upon Tyne. There is no Wake arranged following.

Keith joined Tynemouth PS from Wallsend Photographic Society and was President in seasons 2004 and 2005, and then again in 2019. Unfortunately it was during that tenure that Keith developed Parkinson’s Disease and he voluntarily relinquished the post. He was President for the official opening of Tynemouth’s Howard Street rooms.
Keith loved his wildlife and was an excellent nature photographer, taking stunning pictures of red squirrels, foxes and wild animals in Kenya and South Africa, travelling to that Continent on numerous occasions.
He chaired Tynemouth PS’s Nature Group for many years and was in charge of catering and at times publicity. Keith was also a member of the selection committee for many years, and was a popular wildlife lecturer on the Federation Lecture list.
Keith’s wife Thelma, also a keen photographer, died in 2016. Keith loved his food and cooking and whilst in hospital or care his friends Richie or Arthur would take him Greggs’ steak bakes when visiting.
Rest in Peace Keith.
Howard Wilson, President, Tynemouth PS
